Read the text, then answer: « A Present for Amine »

Next Friday is Amine’s birthday. He will be ten. Last Saturday, his big sister Salma and their father went to the medina of Sousse to buy him a present. The narrow streets were full of people, and the shops were full of colourful things.

First, they went into a toy shop opposite the big mosque. Salma liked a remote-control car, but it was very expensive: one hundred and twenty dinars! Then they visited a sports shop next to the bakery. There, Salma found a blue football shirt. Amine is a big fan of the national team. ‘How much is it?’ asked Dad. ‘Forty dinars,’ said the shopkeeper.

The shirt was too big, so the shopkeeper gave them a smaller one. Dad paid, and they went home happy. Salma hid the present in her wardrobe, so Amine couldn’t find it.

Last Saturday, I went to the mall in Tunis with my mother to buy a present for my best friend Lina. First, we visited a clothes shop, but the dresses were too expensive. Then we went into a bookshop next to the café. There, I saw a beautiful storybook about animals and a box of coloured pencils. I bought them for thirty-five dinars. I chose them because Lina loves reading and drawing. I think she will be very happy with my present.

One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
